OneMusic Australia may have identified your business as a place where music is played for customers, visitors or staff. Its licensing categories include background music, featured music, live music and combinations of these uses.
Check that the letter names the correct business, premises, music use and period. Ask OneMusic to explain the licence category and information used for the quote before you accept it. Keep a copy of the correspondence.

You do not need a separate OneMusic Australia licence if you only use MelloJam
If your business plays only MelloJam music through the MelloJam player, you are not using music from the repertoire covered by OneMusic Australia's licensing route. MelloJam's original catalogue and the commercial playback rights it controls are included in your MelloJam plan, so you do not need a separate licence from OneMusic Australia for the MelloJam playback itself.
A separate non-waivable venue charge can still apply where local law imposes one. Radio, television, Spotify, other recordings, live music, DJs, events, copying and online use are outside the MelloJam plan.
