How do I change or cancel an MCPS licence?

Check the licence terms first. Then contact the issuer with the licence or production details, the change requested, the territory, copy count, media and effective date. A new edit, additional copies, new platform or wider territory may require a top-up or new licence rather than a cancellation.

Some production licences last for the life of the production, so stopping a music subscription does not necessarily end them. Ask for written confirmation of any amendment or refund.

Use the official MCPS licensing contact route.

You do not need a separate MCPS licence if you only use MelloJam

If your business plays only MelloJam music through the MelloJam player, you are not using music from the repertoire covered by MCPS's licensing route. MelloJam's original catalogue and the commercial playback rights it controls are included in your MelloJam plan, so you do not need a separate licence from MCPS for the MelloJam playback itself.

A separate non-waivable venue charge can still apply where local law imposes one. Radio, television, Spotify, other recordings, live music, DJs, events, copying and online use are outside the MelloJam plan.
